Yeah, it's hot
Well, we made it here safe and sound. It's hot, and we're bored already. Ha :) Everyone else is busy running around trying to get everything set up for Abe's wedding and me, mom and sis are sitting tight sans vehicle in the mountains. My mom has some crappy VW Golf from ages ago (before owning a VW was "cool"), and it has yet to prove reliable for starting from anything but a jumpstart. So it is currently getting repaired. At least it's cooler here than down in the city... current temp is probably somewhere in the high 20's to low 30's, where as in Beirut, it's probably mid to high 30s. At least there's a nice breeze.

Unfortunately, the internet cafe is only accessible now via a treacherous walk uphill through a path that is clearly marked but also slightly overgrown. So not as much updating here as I would like, but since we took the path for the first time today, at least we know what we're in for.

I cleaned the balcony and the curtains outside with the hose today, participating in about as close to a wet t-shirt contest as this small mountain town is gonna see.

Jordanian guys are skeeves... they also don't know how to read "No Smoking" signs printed in both English and Arabic. I spent the better part of yesterday thinking up insults for guys with staring issues.

I had a bunch of stuff I wanted to say here but now I can't remember any of it. At least the way down the hill won't be as bad...
